Dear Parents,
they‘re finally here – the long-awaited German language classes for The Woodlands. We will start with a pilot project that will take place on four Saturdays in July.
We invite you and your children to participate in our Fairy Tale Adventures in German or Märchen Abenteuer auf Deutsch. We present selected fairy tales for the children to read, listen, write, sing, and play. On the last Saturday, your children present a small performance for the parents. The children are taught by qualified teachers. The six to 14 year- olds are divided into groups to ensure age-appropriate education. All children are included, regardless of whether they have little knowledge of German or are native speakers.
Please let us know whether you would like to enroll your child/ren in our pilot project. The school fees compare favorably to the cost of other summer camps in The Woodlands. A response to this request does not obligate you to anything. Applications will be sent to you soon. We are interested in how many children would enroll in this program, so that we can plan age appropriate groups. Please send an email with the name/s and age/s of your child/ren, who would like to participate in our summer program.
Let us introduce ourselves: The German Institute for the Southwest was founded in Houston in November of 2015, and soon after was certified by the Goethe-Institut, the official German cultural institute. Young people and adults learn German as a foreign language with us. We wanted to start small with five students in January, but have already more than 30 students with classes from beginners to advanced. Although we received requests from all areas around Houston for our summer program, the most interest came clearly from The Woodlands.
We look forward to bring the German language to life with your children during this summer program Märchen Abenteuer auf Deutsch in The Woodlands.
Warm regards and until soon,
Angelika
