The protection of personal data has become an ever more important topic in the last few year in the EU, with Germany being one of the EU countries with the strictest approach. Developments in German and EU privacy laws have a significant impact on German companies transferring data to the US and on US companies offering goods or services to data subjects in the EU or monitoring the behavior of data subjects in the EU.
