We just finished a great winter semester. The children wrote and presented in German a great show of the Rattenfaenger of Hameln, a children’s fairy tale. Everybody had a part, and our Rattenfaenger played a great flute!
Come and join us for an even better spring session from April 22 to May 27, 2017 – and register your child for our Woodlands program: http://germansouthwest.org/language-school/child-youth-course-registration/.
We offer classes for native German speakers as well as non-German speaking children in several age groups. Each class has one teacher and at least one, often two, assistants fluent in German. Our classes focus on age-appropriate language instruction; the smaller children are learning by playing, and the older children are learning by “doing.”
We bring German traditions and customs into the classroom, but our foremost goal is that students read and understand authentic German texts, and strengthen vocabulary, grammar, and orthography – our children are learning how to speak – listen – read – and write, the four basics of language acquisition. We have a great team and can’t wait to get back into the classroom.
